How To Make Shrimp Wonton Cups

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 ounces shelled deveined and cooked medium shrimp
  • 1 -2 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine, melted
  • 1⁄2 – 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1⁄3 cup grated carrot
  • 24 square wonton wrappers
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

DIRECTIONS

Step 1

A 350°F oven is recommended.

Step 2

Nonstick cooking spray should be lightly sprayed on the mini muffin pan.

Step 3

Butter each wonton wrapper on one side with a pastry brush.

Step 4

Cook wontons until the edges turn a light golden brown, 8 minutes. Press wontons buttered side down into muffin cups.

Step 5

Turn off the oven and remove the pan.

Step 6

Reservations for 24 shrimp are being made in the meantime.

Step 7

Chop the remainder of the shrimp finely.

Step 8

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce, ensuring a thorough blend of flavors.

Add in the chopped shrimp, green onions, carrot, and Mozzarella cheese, stirring everything together until well combined.

With a small scoop, fill each wonton cup with a rounded portion of the cream cheese mixture. To add a delightful touch, top each filled cup with a reserved shrimp.

Place the prepared wonton cups in the oven and bake them for approximately 5 minutes, or until the wontons achieve a lovely golden brown color, and the filling starts to bubble around the edges.
